Good Evening!
We are lucky enough to be moving up from a 2016 R25 SC to a 2024 R31 Sedan. Was wondering about the memory foam mattress on the 31. Do any other 31 owners still recommend the Yachtbedding mattress topper foam mattress or is the stock mattress comfortable enough? I know it's a subjective question!

Thank you for your help!

Jim

We very highly recommend the YachtBedding mattress (and fitted sheets but not the comforter). It would be one of the very first purchases we would make again for a new boat. It has also lasted quite well and is basically exactly like new at 3+ years now (mostly weekends).

FWIW we got their memory foam option instead of latex, not sure that makes a big difference, it was just more familiar to us.

Hey Jim!
We are on our 3rd RT. After trying cheaper solutions for comfortable sleeping, we went with Yacht Bedding on all three. Worth every penny!

We added memory foam on top of standard bedding (saving thousands) and are very happy with that in our R31.

We had a R25SC and purchased a foam topper from a departments store, cut it with an electric knife to fit the v-birth and were happy with it. When we ordered our R29S LE we decided not to spare any $ and ordered the Yacht Bedding topper and sheets because it was a custom fit for the unusual shape of the mattress If I had it to do over again I would get the sheets but go with a less expensive thinner department store mattress topper. The Yacht Bedding topper is an excellent product and super comfortable but it is extremely thick and heavy. It makes access to the storage compartment at the head of the bed difficult because it is so think and if you need to access the spaces under the bed (to service the bow thruster or the ac unit) you have the large heavy mattress topper that is cumbersome to deal with.
