I am posting this in the "Ask the Ranger Factory" section in hopes of a reply from the factory. However I would welcome any feedback from other TugNut subscribers.
As the owner of a 2015 R21EC I am aware that there were changes made during the factory production of this model. One change of note was modification of the cabin fiberglass mold to allow cabin top rainwater to drain to the side deck and then overboard instead of draining into the cockpit.
We are now in the market for a R27 Classic and I would like to know the years of production for the R27 Classic and if there were factory modifications made during the production run? I am aware that there was a change from Yanmar to Volvo Penta engines but not when it occurred. Are there other changes or additions? As an example, I note in later models they modified the dinette table from one piece to a folding model with grab handles and cup holders, and the mast may have been modified to a side folding style. Because of the similarity to the R25 Classic the changes may mirror that model as well.
It would be extremely helpful if the factory would at a minimum post the production years of their discontinued models. This would be helpful to buyers and sellers, and further reinforce what a great brand Ranger Tug is, and what great factory support they provide. Thanks
