I finally did what I wanted to do for almost 2 years. I took out the V-Berth mirror, the two light panels on each side of the mirror AND the underlying plywood shelf (which I very carefully pryed off using a hammer, putty knife and chisel). I also removed the table pedestal under the bed which I never use. I had also put a 22" Supersonic TV (instead of the 19") and it fit perfectly without any mods to the attachment panel. I removed the rear bed cushion to create a bit of space so that we can both stand in the berth area. I am not sure how to post some fotos, but I can tell you that we can now sleep facing the TV. Hubby gets the port side which is longer and I sleep on starboard side, my head not reaching all the way to the tip of the "V-Berth." We no longer have to crawl into bed and rotate our feet toward the bow. It is just a matter of sitting down with out feet in the space that used to be a cushion and leaning back with a slight roll. The area above the tip of the V-Berth is the back of the anchor locker and we get so much more head space. We are going on a 6 week voyage to help with the R2AK (Race to Alaska starting in Port Townsend). During this time, we will try to decide how to complete the renovation. I will probably put a little curtain to hide all the extra storage space that we got by removing the table pedestal. If anyone wants fotos, please email me - mariemuma@gmail.com
