I will take delivery in April of a new Ranger 25 RSC. Mooring at my dock requires the use of mooring whips. Has anyone had experience using whips for this size and type of boat?

There's one channel in our neighborhood where a lift or whips are very desirable if not essential. Not much wave action but fully exposed to northerly winds. As I type this it's 25 gusting to 30 knots from the north and the boats are beam on. Some of the boats with whips are smaller fishing vessels but there a couple bigger than your Ranger. Since they have been there several years I conclude the whips are handling our winter northerlies pretty well.
