More powerful bow and stern thruster options?

Hi,

I have a 2019 Ranger Tug 29CB. We just piloted down the ICW from Hoboken, NJ to Miami Beach. Having only one engine, We encountered a lot of docking problems when strong wind or current were present. The thrusters are of course invaluable, but often just not powerful enough.

Do we have any options to install more powerfull bow and stern thrusters?

I think it is possible but expensive because (apparently, at least on a C30) it involves cutting into the hull, wiring upgrades, etc. I got an estimate last year to install larger size sidethruster bow and stern thrusters on our 2019 C30, and the total cost was estimated to be $23,000 (so I didn't!)
