I want to install a couple of solar powered motion sensing floodlights on my dock, pointed towards my Tug. The flood lights would turn on in case of 'uninvited visitors'.
When I researched these years ago, there were some motion activated floodlights that would trigger whenever tree branches moved in the wind. So they would often trigger unnecessarily. I am worried that small boat movement at dock due to winds and waves might trigger the flood lights all night.
There were also sensors that triggered instead on heat detection, so the rocking of a 'cold' boat at dock would not trigger the floodlights.
Has anyone had success with motion sensing floodlights aimed at their boat?
Thanks
