Hello, I am planning to add a second solar panel to my 2015 R27. Can anyone tell me where I can find the mounting brackets that sandwich around the rail that the solar panel is mounted to?
Thanks!

Karl,
I have a single 140 W panel and want to add an additional panel or two.
The Kyocera panel on our 2016 R-27 is no longer manufactured.
'What panel are you planning on installing?
Any changes to the charge controller?
I believe what is on the boat now can handle additional panels.
Thanks,
Bill

Or, for half the price in the Sea Dog mounts, I am using these on my solar panel install.
Set 4 Yakima SNAR Wrap Around Mighty Mount Round or Square Thule Cross Bars Snap for $10.99 shipped at Amazon.
I’ve been using these mounts for 30 years without any problems. Using SS bolts and nuts with them. They are a tad bigger than the rail diameter but I use one wrap of Duck Wrap Fix tape to pick up the slack.

Thanks for all the info., Curt and Bill and "Our Journey". I have a Kyocera panel that is a bit smaller than the one that came with the boat. I believe it is 85 watts and I had checked on the controller at one time and it should be able to handle the extra. I'll check out the Sea Dog mounts from Amazon.
Thanks again,
Marc

I spoke with my favorite solar panel supplier, Arizona Wind and Sun, and their suggestion was to replace the 140 W with a 350W single panel. I don't want to remove the existing unit so I'll add another. 2 panels will block some light through the roof hatches.
I have had great luck with the 140's, 2 on my fifth wheel, 3 on the two comms trailers I built.
