We are looking for suggestions on where to mount our Official Documentation Number on our new R29S.
With our 2015 R25SC we used a stainless steel plaque that was glued to the inside of the port hull wall easily accessed in the portside cockpit locker (we ordered the boat without the generator so access was super easy). The plaque was permanently glued with 3M 5200 to a "clearly visible interior structural part of the hull" as required by the Coast Guard. I have ordered a similar stainless plaque ($99.95 from documentedvessel.com) for the new boat and we are going to the dealer's to visit the boat and hopefully mount the plaque again with 3M 5200. Any suggestions and/or pictures of mountings in either a R29S or R29CB would be appreciated). Thanks.

On our 2018 R29s, I put it on the inboard "wall" of the port lazerrette..... You need to make a little effort to see it, but it is there, out of the way, and legal.

I hope that helps.

Mine is mounted in the compartment with the water pump just above the horizontal pex line in the image. It was etched into the board so it’s not removable. Is it as permanent as elsewhere on the boat ... not sure but that’s where it was installed when I bought the boat.

Yeah I was going to go through this task myself, but when I opened up the starboard lazarette, I found the PO has already done it. Its up pretty high in there.

On the R29S we recently sold I installed the documentation numbers in the same place as Rocky.....port locker, inboard stringer area n epoxied over to make permanent.
