I am replacing my inverter/charger on my R31 that died from moisture and water exposure. The deceased lived in the port side locker. When opening the locker, if the deck was wet, water would drip in. Also if the drain got plugged, I'd get some water dripping in. Not an ideal place for this piece of electrical equipment to live.

Has anyone re-located this unit?

Thanks,
Bobby

I had an R-27. I agree, not the best place to put such an important piece of electrical equipment. I thought of relocation. Instead of relocating I purchased a piece of plastic 2X4 lighting panel and cut it to fit tightly under the gutter lip and down to the floor. I made it about 6 inches longer on either side of the unit. ten years and all was good.
