I have the cockpit helm station on my CW28. It has a Volvo binnacle and a LCD gauge. The gauge started leaking last year and I sent it to Gauge Savers in Florida for repair. Gauge worked but leaked even worse than before. It's kaput now.

I'm struggling to find a part number for a new one. Does anyone have a part number for this gauge? Picture below.

Any help is appreciated.

Pretty sure that's the old 2.5" Volvo EVC display

Part number should be: 21352296

Hi,

When I look that one up it refers to gasoline engines. Not sure it 2ill work for me.

The Volvo digital gauges are agnostic of gas or diesel, but they are dependent on the version of EVC you have.

The other 2.5" display that's commonly available which would be for EVC-D and EVC-E systems would be the following: 22499270

On the side of your engine should be an EVC module which says which version it is running.

This really helps me, thank you very much. Confident I can get the the right one now.

Got the new gauge. Looks exactly like the old one and was drop in.

My next challenge is to get the EVC computer to recognize it. It seems I need to do something to get the onboard computer to recognize the new gauge. The message displayed is "Incorrect database please do an update". Scrolling through menu's, nothing leaps out at me. There must be some kind of auto discovery process or perhaps auto configuration.

Does anyone know how to perform a database update?

I can't find where I wrote it in my notes, but the process for auto calibration of the EVC is completed by using the binnacle(throttle) and the ignition. With the engine off you push and hold a button or two on the binnacle then start the engine and it should enter into the config mode.

If I can find my notes I'll update/add a post, but it's a really quick process.

Auto configuration
1. Control lever in neutral position.
2.* *Turn the ignition on.
3. Hold down the THROTTLE ONLY button.
4.* *Calibration mode Activated.
5.* *CALIBRATION MODE 1.0 appears in the 2.5" display.
6.* *Press the THROT- TLE ONLY button.
7.* *Calibration mode activated.
8. Wait.
9. Select Driveline menu in the 2.5" displays.
10. Select the engine to be shown in each display; confirm.
11. Select type of panel.
12. Confirm selection.
13.Port tachometer?
14. Allocate tachometer. Scroll using the arrow buttons. Confirm.
15. Allocate port tachometer.
16. Confirm selection.

Thanks again full of fish. I had tried some of this, but not in this sequence.

I dropped the boat off yesterday for heat exchanger service. I'll try this when I get it back.
