We used genny last night all good this mornig I have 220 volts ok but when select shore power on the inverter switch I do not get a light and no 110 volts.. It is making the odd click like it is trying to work and the needle flicks a bit but no go
Not sure if this has come up before with anyone
Thank you

Just want to add the swith works to inverter, just not to shore power.i think there was a post about doing something to reset the solar panel relay..Not sure I'm old I forget things

It is not clear in your post what you are trying to do. Are you on the hook and using the generator? If you are on the hook with the generator on then why would you need your inverter to supply 110 power? Perhaps you can give a bit more detail.

Thanks for the reply
On the hook using generator.. There is an inverter switch swith. It can switch to off, Inverter or Shore power. The switch is off if no power required. When I fire up the generator I switch it to Shore Power... Now I only get slight clicking and the shore power light does not come on... The switch does light up the inverter light if I switch it to inverter..
Sorry for the confusion I was trying to say the switch worked for inverter but not shore power..
Thanks

I'm pretty sure when I get to port tonight the shore power will not work as well.. I tried inverter reset but it was not tripped
More thanks

Mark, I'm with Mike on this....need more info. If on the hook still and you're starting the genset up or for that matter on shore power and just plugging in, make sure all your power switches to water heater, air, charger, anything that will create an immediate draw are turned off, turning on what you need after things are powered up. If switches are on when you're trying to generate (inverter, genset or shore) could create the problem you speak off.

Let us know what you find,

I'll try turning stuff off been using it for three years and have done nothing different thanx

Mark:

On the inverter, towards the transom side on our R27, there is a plug where a reset button is. It could be that you tripped the inverter button and it may need to be reset. If so turn stuff off and unplug the cord into the inverter. Next turn the power source to inverter on, turn the ac main on and turn the inverter switch to the on position. Now go back to the inverter and push the reset button. Obviously this doesn't mean much unless your inverter needs to be reset but this is the procedure for resetting the inverter on our R27.

Keep us posted,

Jim

I'm ok on Cape Coral shore power .. Going to check my generator switch later Im thinking that must be it. I will report back... Thanks for all the suggestions

Just an update.. I got back to our marinia Friday and hooked up shore power and when I switched inverter switch to on ... No power.. If I switched to I nverter on I had power.. .. I called inverter people and while waiting for call back I took cover off inverter and disconnected 12 volt so I could move unit into cockpit.. I found 120 volts going into inverter but nothing going out..I disconnected and reconnected all the little plugins in the inverter I could find..When I tried turning the inverter on again I got nothing.. Before it would light up all the lights on the inverter and the green standby light would stay on. I figured it needs the 12 volts to make it happy... I reconnected the 12 volts and I had shore power... I do not like things fixing themselves but perhaps it was just a corroded connection and my unplugging and re plugging them fixed it.. When I got my call back from the manufacturer they said there's nothing in the unit that could be intermittent. I have since launched the boat and all is working fine still . Fingers crossed
