Need Help With Trim Tab Actuator Pin

Hi There,

I own a 2016 C-28. Last week I noticed that the pin holding the actuator to the plate was missing and the tab was hanging down. I went to West Marine and they ordered me a replacement pin which arrived a day later. It was a metal pin with no indents or locking mechanism, just a pin. I slid it into place and thought it was installed properly.

I took the boat out today and when I got back to the dock I saw that the pin had fallen out again.

Did I get the wrong replacement pin? It was Bennet #A1115 Trim Acuator Pin.

What holds or locks the pin in place?

What am I missing here?

Please advise.
