Need to good, used kicker motor...any suggestions?

Greetings one and all,

I am in the market for a good, used kicker motor for the Red Ranger and my dingy. The latter can only handle an outboard of 6 hp or less. Think a long shaft may work better than a short shaft, but open to hearing comments if a short shaft will work.

I've searched craigslist and the usual suspects but still haven't found a suitable motor. Prefer a 4, 5 or 6 hp w/long shaft and, preferably, and internal tank that also can handle an external tank.

Hello,
I have a 4hp Johnson which I boight new in about 1996, and has been stored for many years. The motor has forward gear and nuetral. It has an aux tank and new hose. We have the 8.5 Ranger hardbody dinghy and it will get up on a plane With the 4hp. it runs great. Let me know if it might work for you.
I am going to an electric trooling motor, but mostly oars. The Squeezer 7 lives at Shilshole Marina.
