We are now the proud owners of a new 2014 R31 Sedan, vessel name - TANGENT.

She was just delivered to us by Marc Grove of Wefing's Marine on Wednesday (March 6). Marc delivered the R31 TANGENT to us from Apalachicola then took our 2012 R27 back in trade to his dealership. On Thursday, we moved her to our slip at Boardwalk Caper (BWC) Condos in Fort Myers Beach. She is the talk of the 300 condo owners around her. We will have a christening party at 5:00PM on Friday for many of the boat owners here. The majority of the BWC owners are long-time sailors and motor boaters, so there is a strong interest in any new boat.

We are very pleased with our new TANGENT, the Ranger Tugs factory build, and the dealer prep that was done on it. We now look forward to a lot of extended cruising around Florida and The Bahamas.

Congratulations!

Does it have that new boat smell?

Jeff

Congratulations Dale,

Hope to see you when we are back in Ft. Myers at the end of March. Maybe we can try to break the 21 people on board record!!

Nice job Dale and Karen on the R31, enjoy the new adventure and if you get up to Ft Myers before the end of March let us know were at Legacy.

Congrats. My wife and I just purchased a R31 as well. My parents live just over about 5 miles away from your boat and they are dying to know what our boat looks like (other than a picture). Is it easy to spot from Main street or San Carlos?

Congratulations Dale and Karin !!! Look forward to hearing of your future travels !!

Jeff,

It does have that new boat smell as noted by most of the 18 Boardwalk Caper condo folks aboard for the R31 christening last night. They all loved it. We will host another large group on Tuesday night; we'll see if they notice the new boat smell.

Knotflying,

Sorry that we couldn't break that 22 person limit on the R31 at Cayo Costa.

On last Tuesday, we had a 2nd Boardwalk Caper Condos group aboard for a 2nd christening party with 17 folks on board. Another 6 stopped by at various times, so there is now a good sampling of people from the 300 condos here who have been aboard. Everyone was greatly impressed with the workmanship, layout, and appearance of the R31.

After our bow thruster was repaired on Friday morning (thanks to Andrew Custis and Marc Grove), then Saturday we were out for our first longer cruise of about an hour each way to Rumrunners restaurant on Cape Coral; all went well. Again, a lot of talk about the R31 by passersby as we docked at the waterside restaurant.

Now, we have only a couple of less critical issues to be resolved before we expect to go on an extended cruise to Naples, Marco Island, and hopefully on to Marathon in The Florida Keys.

Glad all is going well with your new arrival. After seeing a few of our other Ranger friends dock bow in we now dock bow in when possible and avoid all of the questions!! It was either that or printing off FAQ sheets to hand out. Unfortunately, with an R-31 you may not be able to do this on a short dock. You may want to ask Andrew for a case of brochures.

Karin and Dale,
I passed my folks your info regarding a look at your R-31. As it turns out, I am visiting my parents next Monday - Wednesday (24-26) and I was wondering if you might be in the vicinity of your homeport such that we might pay a visit. At your convenience of course.

Corey,

Give me a call on the phone number I provided previously by PM. Depending on the sea condition forecast next week we might be on our way to Key West. If not good cruising forecast we will be in Ft Myers Beach, so come on by.

Fantastic! Congratulations on owning an absolute dream boat!
