New Black Teak Carpet

We just put in the new "Black Teak" carpet from Corinthian Carpets in the cockpit and cabin of our 2015 R21 EC.
They sent samples of this and the OEM factory style. This carpet has a smoother texture than the factory style and still has the AquaMat backing.

That's carpet? Wow. It looks really nice. Can't tell at all from the photos that it isn't actual teak.

We covered all our exposed teak holly (which had become worn looking, with some staining from refrigerator draining) with Corinthian carpet - They send a kit with LOTS of reinforced plastic material for you to cut templates, which you send to them to turn into precisely measured carpet -

Results look great - except, the long runner down the center fit perfectly when new - after a year has shrunk a bit so one end or the other shows a bit of teak...

I'd suggest adding about 1/4" in all directions in case yours shrinks too!
