My new EC 21 with Volvo Penta didnt come with a tool kit of any kind. Should it have had one?

Hello Eric,

I'm not aware of any tool kit provided with the Yanmar engine. It would be nice to have one; all the outboards I've owned came with a rudimentary but functional tool kit. It's not hard to put together your own, though.

How do you like the Volvo engine? Do you know if it turns the same prop as was used on the Yanmar? What's your WOT rpm?

The Yanmar engine for the R21-EC came with a small set of metric open end wrenches. I was surprised it was included. I do not know what if anything is included with the Volvo.

That's good information about Yanmar supplying new engines with a tool kit.

I bought my R21 second had and it did not come with a tool kit.
