With many thanks to the previous owners, I am now the new owner of a 2017 R-21EC NW edition with the Yanmar engine. The boat is loaded on an EZLoader aluminum trailer. This officially ends my most recent bout of boatlessness.

I am hoping to hear of any tips, tricks, storage ideas, favorite mods or anything I should know specific to this little boat.

Thanks,
Michael

Michel, congratulations on the boat! Depending on the use, fishing, cruising, day use or overnights. Will probably dictate what upgrades, modifications you'll want. The one good thing is that the R-21 EC is a easy boat to modify to your liking. Just have fun and the money you save on fuel will pay for a boat load of upgrades! Bob

Congrats......must be one of the last 2017's ....back to the Yanmar.........love mine. Using the search engine here, as suggested, and scoping out the gallery pics will give you tons of info. As Bob noted......you will be more in love with the 21 each time you visit the fuel dock....................enjoy.............

Thank you for the excellent advice. I have been working my way through the archives for good ideas.
I will be mooring the boat in the Portland area but have not secured a space just yet. The weather has been enticing one day and punishing the next day, but I am looking forward to getting out on the water soon.

Congratulations on joining the 21EC club. A simply amazing boat that offers unlimited options and experiences. Follow the excellent advice and carefully read all the posts for this boat. You will not be disappointed and will spend years fine tuning and enjoying what many believe is one of the best designed and built RTs. Enjoy the journey.

Welcome aboard! You’ll find your boat to be seaworthy, fun, easy to maintain and a crowd pleasure.
Here’s to you having many years of adventures.
Cheers,
CaptnKarl

Hopefully we'll see you out on the river soon!
