In case you missed it, Cliff Mass discussed a few new forecasting applications developed at UW's department of atmospherics. [blog post]
The new UW Weather Radar Interface combines all regional radar feeds, both NWS and Canadian Environment Canada, into one combined display for the entire Salish Sea.
The Seattle City Light WindWatch was sponsored by SCL to provide tactical forecasting of high wind events. It includes both UW high resolution model and National Weather Service local forecasts in animated 72 hour display with a simple but rich interface. Good for anticipating fallen trees and power lines, but great for getting a look at what coming on the waters of the Puget Sound.
Cheers
