Have any R27’s been fitted with a second helm?
Propane monitor won’t quit beeping, even with fuse removed, had to remove stove and unhook sensor. Any help there. Thanks Dan

There is a fuse for the sensor. I would first check to be sure there is not actually a propane leak. If all is good make sure you are not storing some other chemicals near it. They can set it off as well. A bad sensor is not unusual best to get a new one if that is the issue and just cut and splice the wire.

A second helm wold be doable, but you will loses a lot of room in the cockpit. Why the need for a second helm?

No leak, bad sensor I presume. Replacement on order..No need for second helm, just was wondering. Today replaced solar panel M1 monitor, screen was bad. And also today came back to boat and another beeping, this one behind the chart plotter, saw one beeper back there but it did not feel like it was culprit. Shut off house battery and turned back on and it is quiet again. Boat still on trailer. Any ideas on that beeper. Also in quarter berth, Garmin Reactor module blinks continuously with plotter and pilot off, should it blink 24/7. Thanks Dan new R27 owner, used boat.

The answer is yes. I've seen it. I have photographs of it. Pretty sweet looking. Very nicely done. Andrew knew I'd be up at Ganges, BC, and he still brought up the one RT27-OB with it. 🙂 I'm pretty sure it's just a concept boat. Something the factory is trying out.

Personally, I don't think the cockpit is big enough to require an aft helm station. It's just a steering wheel with throttle controls, a couple of drink holders, and a suicide knob. I also didn't see bow thruster controls. But others may find it useful. Everybody boats differently.

A cockpit helm station is worth its weight in gold when fishing and crabbing solo. If done right will take very little space away from the cockpit area, I installed one on my R-21, pictures of it in my album.
I don't use it for docking or cruising. Bob

i had the propane alarm go off when i dident have any connected to the system. i believe it was going off due to charging the engine and thruster battery after it sat for the winter. i aimed a fan into the hull from under the stove and it did go away after a bit.

It can go off for certain concentrations of other gases of the explosive varieties. Yes, battery off gassing can, in theory, do that.

I have seen a flatulent dog set one off, to be fair, but we didn't need alarm to let us know the dog wasn't feeling well.
