Ever since adding a mattress topper the existing television mount was a little too low (The bed having grown 3 inches higher), so after enough nagging from my better half, finally did something about it. Used an Amazon Basics mount that provides movement in all three planes. I drilled a few holes in the existing mount plate and mounted the new one to it. This saved my having to modify/drill any woodwork and also allows the TV to be disconnected in the same manner the old mount used.
