Recently purchased a previously owned 21EC. 2008 Blue hull. Super happy with the boat so far, although have only been out a couple of times. Getting use to the size, speed (or lack thereof), accomodations, etc. Based in SW Florida (Fort Myers) and she is being kept on a trailer.

The 21EC is a fine boat for sure. Very fuel efficient but a bit slow at times. Are you using boat on lake waters or out on the sea proper ?

We got the same year and same color, love the hell outta this boat,,this coming from a lifetime of fast boats.

Will use the boat primarily in the bay and inter coastal waterway, however will venture into the Gulf on calmer days. Lot of protected water here including the journey across the state via Lake O. Although inconsiderate sports fisherman have already caused me alter course into a series of short steep waves that got the Admiral a little wet and allowed me check out the wipers.

Congrats on the new to you 21! Going by your forum name, you are (or were) a sailor. Back in our sailing days, I was sure that every powerboat that waked us was doing it intentionally. 😉 Some hull shapes toss a wake, no matter the speed... and some boat owners are not considerate about that wake. Where we live, the big sportfishers are the worst... and I know you have plenty of those in Florida. So, you learn to anticipate and take the wake in the best way possible.

Enjoy!
