Hi Guys,

We purchased a 2017 C28 and will receive it in a few weeks when go for the shake down test run.

Is there anything I should look out for on the boat when I go to the dealer to pick it up?

I did hear that some of the 2017 C28 can had a squeaking problem due to an over-sized fiberglass panel that is rubbing against something. I don't know many details but that Cutwater addressed the problem quickly on a new boat. They did a great job to find and fix it. I can say that because of this message board and hearing stories of how Cutwater treats their customers and stands behind their products was a major reason why we made the purchase. I am really looking forward to getting out on the water soon!

Congrats and welcome!

the biggest thing to look for is to go through all the systems and make sure they are working. there is a lot of gear on these boats so make sure the install is correct and the items are working. also it gives you a chance to ask questions as you go and get some free training.

Congratulations , Cutwater owner

Good advise by Cutwater 28GG. There are a lot of systems to learn and understand unique to the Cutwater /Ranger Line. I would make a check list of all the equipment on board and questions that you have about the boat before delivery day. Bring it with you and check each item off as the dealer explains it and shows you that it is operating properly. Ask for the Volvo PDI( Pre delivery inspection) sheet and confirm that all inspections have been completed checked off and signed by the certified Volvo technician and the dealer and you sign it after all inspection points have been explained to you.. Volvo requires this for Warranty. It also will give you piece of mind that the installation and engine are matched to manufactures specification. New boat delivery day is over whelming. Bring your check list ,Questions, and a note book. Use TugNuts as a resource too. If you have any questions there are a lot of experienced Ranger and Cutwater owners that can help answer your questions and help resolve issues. Most importantly enjoy your Cutwater. It's an awesome boat.

if I was doing it again I would set up a gopro either on me or on the boat to record the information flow.

there is so much good information that will flow even with copious note taking you wont get it all. watching the video later would be amazingly useful!
