no charts available for Garmin 7215

I just called Garmin to inquire about updating the charts that came with our 2013 Ranger, which has the 7215 plotter. I was told chart updates are no longer available, and as well no charts available to purchase for Canadian waters. Wow!
Ivan at Ranger told me to leave a message for the Ranger parts man, Richard, which I did. Ranger may still have charts available. Will anxiously await his call.....

Is this correct, and has anyone else run into this? If they really aren't available, will I have to buy a new boat??

It is my understanding that the chartplotter has a set of charts within the software, but other charts are a matter of purchasing a chart section by either download or buying an SD card already loaded. You simply insert the SD card and get the chart info.

knotflying is correct just purchased Canadian charts from FactoryOutletStore.com 1-800-721-1373 the only one I found now online is a Blue chart world wide g2 HD this is not the one I bought I thought it was just Canada and a g3. Call them I think. I have had good luck with them.

After market charts are available for the 7215 for the Great Lakes by doing a bit of research on the Internet. I have done so.

I downloaded the new G3 charts for my 5215. You should be able to do the same for your newer 7215.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
I was able to buy a used G2 chart on Ebay, thanks to a fellow Ranger owner spotting it. Cost....$35, better than a new one from Garmin for $350 that covered too much area.
