No GPS and No Rudder Position

Hi - no GPS or Rudder Position show in Garmin Displays. Can you point us in right direction? They seem to have gone out at the same time.

There is another thread going on now("autopilot remote") that might be similar to your problem. Might try shutting off all power to it at the batteries and seeing if it resets.

Hello,

You will not have any rudder indication unless something aftermarket was installed. Regarding GPS, I would go into your settings and find the NMEA 2000 device list and see if the GPS unit is listed.

Hi Andrew - the Rudder indicator used to show. Also, we've gone into Garmin under Settings (everywhere, actually!) and the NMEA 2000 doesn't show. These used to work although can't remember if the NMEA 2000 showed but we're relatively new to the boat.

Shut off house power. I found Garmin sometimes gets stupid and a power on reset will clear everything. I shut down before each trip. No problems since.
