noise behind battery switch when connect to shore pwr

On my old R25 when I plugged in shore pwr no problem. Never touched the battery switches. On R27 I had house battery switch on and connected the shore power heard a loud noise from behind the battery switch. Shut down battery switch and went away. Obviously I'm not familiar with the electronics but can you have the battery switch on and connect to shore pwr or am I missing something?

inverter is in the off position at the switch. Kinda like a grinding/vibrating noise and shuts off after a minute. Seems to eminate from the port ctr. lower like almost under the fridge. Fridge is off though.
