Does anyone know how the little door that covers the freezer compartment is attached and what are the 2 nuts and bolts located on each side for. My door is just wedged in and falls off all the time. Second question, a cleaning crew broke the hinge on the skylight over the head, Jim Black wants to sell me the whole unit, has anyone ever repaired one?

Jeff: the door is attached at the top where it hinges out at the bottom and rests on the 2 studs/screws at the bottom. There is also a small L-bracket that is attached snugly that swings up to "lock" the door shut. Mine is appropriately attached, but even so, it is flimsy at best. Hope this helps.

I looked at mine and it almost looks like they used a pop rivet in reverse with the metal nail part attached in a grove and the un-squashed rivet against plastic washers. You may want to give them a call. I have found them pretty responsive and perhaps they can point you in the right direction.
