Hi all,

I have a 2018 CB 31 RT. It has the factory Nova Kool fridge that cools down normally. The problem I have been having is moisture appearing inside closed containers, zip lock bags and generally anything wrapped and sealed. You would almost think that the food product was sweating. Anyone else experience this and does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sonny

Hi Sonny,

That can be relatively normal. Condensation on the inside of the container usually indicates that the item inside has moisture that released due to temperature change. The thing to watch is when there is excess moisture inside of the refrigerator that is not in a container. This can be easily controlled by making sure that any spills or otherwise in the fridge are wiped up as well as possible. However, that might need some diagnosis if it persists. Good news is that the moisture in your containers is not caused by any defect in the fridge. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Ralf

Being a connoisseur of left-overs I thought I would give you my two cents for what it's worth!
Most containers will sweat due to rapid temperature changes, this can be eliminated by leaving the container vented until cooled down, then close or letting the item cool down prior to placing item in the frig. Another cause of containers sweating is temperature swings inside the frig, mostly caused by ice build-up on the cooling coils, to check for this, purchase a thermometer with a high/low reading and leave in the frig for 24 hours then check.
Nothing is worse than soggy left-overs! Bob
