Hello Tugnuts!

It's time for the November Tugnuts Photo Contest! Every month we're giving away a pair of custom embroidered Ranger Tugs or Cutwater Boats jackets (your choice!)

To enter the contest, just send a photo and description or comment corresponding to this month's theme, to briandickhaut@rangertugs.com

This month’s theme is: Memories! Whether you grew up boating or started later in life, there are always moments that stick with you and we'd like to see some of them. You can submit any photo of a moment that you remember to be particularly interesting, fun, or just stands out to you.

It’ll be put up to a vote by the folks here at the factory and a lucky winner will receive a pair of custom embroidered Ranger Tugs or Cutwater boats jackets. The contest runs until 11:59pm Saturday 11/30/2019. We can't wait to see what you have to share!

From Ru M.

After scouting the Ranger Tugs for a few years my wife and I finally took delivery on a new 2017 R21EC in September. We’re both lifelong boaters and instilled the same passion into our kids. The enclosed picture is of the first member of our 3rd generation, and we look forward to creating more great memories as we explore the coast of Maine and beyond!

"Attaching a B&W photo taken in the mid 1960’s with my girlfriend (to be my wife later on) sitting on the bow
of a very big Gaff rigged yawl sailing around the Isle of Wight UK. She was sitting in the area of the bow
that in very early days was where the suspended plank over the bow with a hole in it was installed. This
is where the nautical term ‘head’ was derived…. no need for me to describe this further…. and I never
did tell this to my girlfriend / wife.

The large sailing boat was given to a youth organization which was used to help young people ‘learn the ropes’
for sailing and cost a mere 10 Shillings (about $3 in the mid 1960s) for a weekend cruise across to France and
back."

"Doug Herbig and I bought Andrew’s R23 this year. We could not be any happier! We love our tug so much! We put almost 100 hours on it in 4 months and we work full time!

Doug and I have both been around boats our entire lives. This is me and my dad with our Bell Boy boat in 1967. I am guessing it probably is late 50’s model, I believe the model was the “Banshee”. She was the fastest boat on the beach! We had a cabin on Driftwood Shores, Camano Island. My fondest childhood memories were at the cabin and the boat. I can still feel that cool steering wheel under my hands ❤️

P.s....My dad had a great sense of humor. Note the boat name!"

"The attached photo is of a momma otter swimming alongside our boat at Poets Cove. This was our first cruising trip into the San Juan Islands in July of 2015. The light reflections on the water made it a special moment!"

"My dream has come true and my Husband and I are new owners of a beautiful Ranger Tug R23. We are very excited becoming a part of the Tug family. Attached is a picture of our rescue cat Mia on her first boat ride. She is learning the ropes. She seems to love the Ranger Tug inside and out as much as we do. We plan on taking many trips with her. "Cherished memory of John and our baby Pearl hanging out on the Rhode River (MD) on our first tug, the Lady T. Pearl loves boating...truly believe it is because we took her out so young! We have since moved on to a bigger Ranger Tug, actually 2, but every time I see this picture I smile and remember how much we love all our Ranger Tug memories! So blessed and grateful for the memories!!"

"Hello. This summer I took my family on a journey from Long Beach to SanDiego on our C-28. We went on a fishing trip to the Coronado Islands in Mexican waters just SW of San Diego. This is a photo of my son Mason at the exact moment he landed his first fish on our boat “Happy Days”. He struggled with this yellowtail and asked me to take over for him because his arms were tired. I told him it was his fish and he had to finish reeling it in himself. Well, fortunately my wife was there to capture the moment the fish hit the deck. That made some great sushi later that night."

"We made it to the Broughtons, our longest trip by far. In this picture Sweetpea is relaxing and dreaming about the next adventure. This photo was taken at Pierres. Many dreams went into making it there and many more will carry us into next season. Thank you Ranger Tugs!"

"This was our first voyage on Ruby our 2017 R-23 at Lake Pleasant Arizona on March 1st, 2019. Since then we have logged over 50 hours on Arizona lakes, but it was this moment that resonates in our memories and captures the joy of this boat in our lives. George and Liz Collett Tugnuts: az9133bm."
