Hope all our friends in the PNW are ok after last nights wind. Looks like it has passed over about 10 to 11 PM last night.

Olympia to Everett were hammered pretty hard but here in Anacortes we hardly noticed it. Our metal roof rattled a bit at about 1:00 am. Will check Skyline when we go on our MOW run at noon. They generally get hit harder on a south wind. After lunch I will check Cap Sante. --- Cary

We drove around Fidalgo Island today looking for storm damage. Didn't really see any. A few branches on the roadway, but not enough to even make a good Christmas wreath. Checked in with Cap Sante, no damage there either. A lot of people wandering around checking their boats, all with smiles on their faces.
Right now the sun is shining and the sky has many blue patches. Earlier, from our window, I saw a sailboat out on the bay gliding along with a very light breeze.
Merry Christmas and keep the copper side down.

On Camano we were hit pretty hard, 67mph winds. Lots of trees and fences down. We finally have telephone, internet and cable back up after 2 days. Many peole on the south end of the island still have no services

47 MPhil at our marina. They lost the roof off one of the covered morages at Zitt els Marina out
Side of Olympia.

Your friends to the south got a piece of this too. Here in San Francisco that atmospheric river spawned by an extratropical cyclone generated lots of local flooding, gusts as high as 147 mph in the Sierra, power knocked out for 100,000 people in San Francisco for a day, record daily rainfall records.......and general rejoicing that it was finally raining. We could use about four more of those storms to bust our drought.

In my marina, however, the only casualties were stretched dock lines, flattened fenders and cranky sea lions. I have no sympathy for the sea lions.

Hi

The Hood Canal Bridge had winds recorded of 63 Mph and Mutiny Bay wind 70 Mph and we are between the two. There was a 43 ft Bayliner and floats broke loose in our bay and crash into another dock, Very little damage. We lost power for approximate 20 Hrs.
