Octopus type S install

I’m trying to install an octopus type S autopilot in my 21EC. I can’t seem to make it fit. Has anyone else had problems?

I have one on my 2008 R21EC. I didn't do the install but would be happy to help with pics, etc. Can you be more specific about the problem?

It is too tall to fit unless I rotate the unit 180 degrees which puts the steering cable coming in from the port side. And my cable is not long enough to rotate all the way around from that side.

Granted, it's a tight fit. Steering cable comes in from starboard side.

Wow, that unit is a lot shorter than the one I purchased. After you told me that you were able to get yours in, I change the orientation of the wiper motor and that gain me 2 inches so I was able to get it mounted.
