Original batteries in a 2016 R-31S

Hi there!
One thing to remember about the batteries. AGM batteries are still lead acid, but are not "flooded" like normal batteries. The cells contain glass mats that absorb the acid. (Hence AGM) Also, AGMs weren't necessarily standard back then but an available option. So there's a good chance the boat was originally delivered with regular flooded batteries.

my boat is a 2012 and came with AGMs from the factory. Its a cutwater28 but back then Im pretty sure the factory offered the AGM package as an option for both the cutwaters and the rangers.
I'm pretty sure in that timeframe the factory was still using the universal AGM's. - UB121100
