If you're an out-of-state boater that is bringing your Cutwater or Ranger Tug to Washington state to cruise, you may find it useful to participate in this webinar tomorrow. It is hosted by the Northwest Marine Trade Association's Director of Government Affairs, Peter Schrappen and Attorney, Fred Robinson from Robinson Law Firm. Here's a brief description:
School’s in session: Washington state boating rules, laws and best practices for non-Washington residents
Ahoy! This first-of-its-kind one-hour class is designed for non-Washington residents who are confused, confounded or just plain consternated over the various rules about boating in Washington state. Hear from attorney Fred Robinson and Northwest Marine Trade Association’s Peter Schrappen as they unwrap the changes to cruising in Washington state due to the recent passage of House Bill 1107, which expands the entity-owned permit exemption and allows for crew charters in Washington with very little tax to be paid. While it’s all good news, it’s worth tuning in to hear what you can and can’t do and for how long you can enjoy Washington state’s waters.
Even if you feel like you’ve heard it all before, tune in and double-check your knowledge. The cost of getting these tax changes wrong is not something we want to talk about, but we most certainly will during our session. There is no cost to attend this course.
