we have just installed davits for our inflatable on our 2015 R-27 classic. Where on the cockpit rail is best to store the outboard? the rail on the port side is too close to the Bimini frame and the center post the engine shaft would sit on top of the box on the swim platform. Gets kinda of crowed back there. What do y'all do?

I added an additional post and a support bracket to the swimstep rail and mount the dinghy motor there. See photo below. I have since moved the motor inside the swim rail to get avoid interference with the dinghy.

Wonderful idea. Yes, I would move it not to interfere with the dink

Our Magma grill then attaches to the boat transom rail so we can grill from within the cockpit. We like this arrangement a lot!

If you already have an outboard then forget what I have to say and listen to Curt. Figure out what your needs are, mine was just to get into shore or the dock. So I went electric and store the battery and motor in the cave. I went with an EP paddle.
