Hello, Any help would be gratefully appreciated! My macerator pump has been working on and off for sometime, however, now it does not work at all and I am unable to discharge from the holding tank. The light on the macerator switch on the dash does light up, however, nothing is discharged, it is difficult to hear if the pump is indeed working at all.

Sounds like a loose connection or a plugged hose. I'm assuming you don't leave the Y-Valve in the overboard position and that you flush with fresh water after using the macerator so I would probably look for the loose connection first. Sorry I can't be of more help. I am mostly in the Gulf Islands and even in the Georgia Strait find it difficult to be 3 miles offshore macerator use. I just pump out when I buy diesel. The only time I use the macerator is to flush the empty tank with fresh water at the end of the season.

Obviously, the “Y” valve needs to be in the proper position for overboard discharge for that to work.
Could be a loose connection at the macerator pump as Chimo mentioned.
We replaced a bad macerator pump in our 2009 R-25 Classic when it was 10 years old. No way of telling how long it had been dead, as before that we didn’t need to use it. The replacement with a new macerator was super easy - took less than an hour.
Bought this one and was very happy with it’s performance over the past three years.

I would first check to see that power is at the pump. Turn it on. If you hear nothing, while still on pierce the leads with multimeter probes and you should get a good voltage reading. If you have power and nothing is working, time for a new pump.

Not sure if you've still got this issue. But on my boat, the end of the pump shaft under a rubber cover, is slotted. Mine will get stuck if I don't use it for awhile. I have to turn the pump on, then give the shaft a little twist with a flathead screwdriver. Then it's off to the races.
