Overhead hatch hinges

The hinge in one of the overhead hatches on my R21EC (2011 model) has broken. The pin that forms the hinge on one end of the hinged edge has either sheared off or has retreated into its hole in the frame the fastens to the deck. The pin no longer protrudes to engage the hole in the movable part of the hatch.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a clever and relatively simple fix that does not involve replacing the hatch?

A problem similar to that was discovered when my boat was being commissioned. The dealer/factory replaced the hatch. I recommend you check with your dealer for a warranty fix.
