Has anyone had issues with the pairing of their remote to the autopilot? I sometimes lose the pairing and I think I am following the directions correctly, but can't get them to pair. It seems like there may be a signal problem with one of the units

I have had them lose pair a few times. I change remote batteries and then turn everything off and then turn off "house" battery switch. Wait a minute then turn on house battery then gamin display then auto pilot. Then pair following directions in manual. This USUALLY works (had to repeat entire operation three times once).
Good luck
Dave

It seems like the mounted unit on our boat is confused but the remote always seems to work. Good advice Dave - I've replaced the batteries in the remote but haven't shut off the power to the mounted unit, I'll give it a try.

It worked for me, but I needed to disconnect the right cable in the back to shut the power to the unit. I will look for a fuse someday. 🙂
