Peeling dashboard trim

The narrow section of upholstery trim right under the windshield on our 2013 C28 is sticky and peeling. Obviously sun damage. Has anyone else had this problem and attempted a repair?

The panels just lift out. Appears only gravity holds them in place. We found some heavy duty vinyl upholstery (maybe fabricguru.com) in a similar butter color. Hardest part was removing the numerous staples holding original vinyl in place. We had some stainless staples from prior boat projects.

You could prolly just take the panels to a local uphosterer if you did not want to do yourself.
