I have a phantom drain on my engine battery on my 2016 31R CB and have ruled out the usual suspects like bilge pump etc. In doing research, I determined that the electronics for the engine are live as soon as the fob is waved in front of the ignition and there is an electrical load associated with that. Here is where it gets interesting...i do not need my fob to start the engine. I tested this by turning off the engine battery isolator, putting the fob in my car 100 yds away on shore, going back aboard, energizing the engine battery and she started without the fob. 2 questions...
1: has anyone ever seen this before?
2: could this be the phantom draw that is killing my engine battery?
