I have read on various blogs about Ranger Tug owners playing their TV or laptop movies over the Fusion sound system. If you do that, could you please share how you interface the two? I have a Fusion MS-CD600. Thanks.

This applies to the Jensen display in our 2019 Ranger 31 SE and may not be useful to you

Add A Chromecast “Dongle” to Watch Netflix

Adding a Chromecast Dongle to the Jensen Display gives us the ability to stream anything from our iPad (Netflix/Photos/Videos etc. etc.) and view it on the screen in the main cabin. Added to that, instead of the rather puny sound from the display, the sound track from Netflix is also sent via Bluetooth to the Fusion system.

We get the Netflix stream from a “hot spot” fed by our wifi. Your iPad or other device must be set to have Bluetooth enabled.

I have uploaded a screenshot of the installation to my photo album.

I have a 10 years old Clarion CMD6 stereo system. I wrestled with how to play movies from my laptop and get the sound out of the Clarion system’s speakers. The Clarion receiver did not have Bluetooth but it did have an input for a Bluetooth dongle. I added a JL Audio universal Bluetooth dongle (which required separate power) to the CMD6. My laptop, iPhone and iPad all have Bluetooth so that’s all it took. I can go anywhere on the boat and the Bluetooth connection stays strong. Turn CMD6 to AUX1 where the JL Audio Bluetooth dongle is connected and you are good to go. Here’s a link to the JL Audio device:

If your Fusion unit already has Bluetooth built in you don’t need the separate dongle. Hope that helped.

Two ways, ether blue tooth but you need to install the blue tooth adapter or using the Aux RCA connectors at the back of the unit.

I have the MS-UD 750 and the Majestic 19" & 22" TV's. I went to BestBuy to get a blue tooth adaptor. The guy there told me that he didn't recommend it because there is a delay between the video and the audio which can become annoying. He recommended the Aux RCA connectors. Has anyone with the blue tooth adapter noticed the video-audio delay? Also, I am hopeless with setting up electronics but I do not see an Aux Out in the TV's instruction manual. Do I need an adaptor cable of some sort?

No noticeable sound delay in watching DVD movies on my Bluetooth equipped laptop or movies stored on my iPad through the JL Audio Bluetooth receiver to the Clarion CMD6 stereo system.

Would it be better using the AUX inputs, yes. But I never heard of a delay in using blue tooth.

The bucktooth delay is not noticeable when watching the TV. It is noticeable when listening to both of the sound sources, the TV and the bluetooth. The delay is very short, but kinda sounds like an echo when listening to both sound sources.
