I bought a 2008 21EC in the Spring. I have had a great time with the boat all summer.

The boat was coated with Poli Glow by the previous owner. The dark blue hull was mostly still very bright and shiny, but there were faded spots and areas that looked like they were water spotted. So when I hauled out last week I started to clean it. There is a Poli Strip product that removes the finish. It took a good deal of work, but I got it clean and started buffing the hull. I have half of it buffed and it mostly looks great.

I talked to someone at Poli Glow about the product and I am considering using it to refinish rather that a buff and wax. We all know wax is barely good for a season, so I can look forward to it every Spring. The poli Glow is much easier to apply, and only requires a light 'wipe on' coat each season.

https://poliglow-int.com/ They have a good video of the application process.

Has anyone used Poly Glow? Any reports on how it holds up?

My gut reaction is it sounds to much like a 'magic' cure for forever shiny hulls. But I tend to be a skeptic.

Wow, I was just going to post this exact same question this morning when I signed on. I bought some at the boat show in Annapolis yesterday. Before I do the hull, I will be treating my faded blue visors. They REALLY need it. Oxidation remover and waxing barely works on them and only lasts about a month.

Looking forward to reading the comments.

I bought a used 2012 Cutwater 28 a few years back with the blue hull. The prior owner kept the boat in Florida and one side of the hull and the blue brow was severely faded. I tried every possible wax, oxidation remover, etc. with no luck.

Eventually, I tried Poli-Glow with great success on the hull. I've received numerous kudos from folks about how great it looks.

It did not, however, work on the brow. Not sure why. I plan to try again this fall. Might be operator error.

One big negative that I decided is actually a positive, is that the finish scratches when you hit a dock a bit too hard. Why a positive? At the end of the season, I simply strip off the Poli-Glow and refinish it to a new state.

Pay close attention to the directions. If the weather is too cold, even by a few degrees, the finish will streak and you get to start over again after stripping it.

Practical Sailor (www.practical-sailor) has done a number of articles on Poli-Glow and generally gives it a positive review.

One last caveat. If you use Spray Nine on your boat, be careful of overspray as it strips off the Poli-Glow.

Bottom Line: If wax works without a lot of hassle, use it. When the hull is too faded, Poli-Glow is a great alternative.

Yup, I have the 2012 blue hull also. Always wanted a blue boat, until I got one. Ha.
Still love the blue, however. Last spring I spent around 30-40 hours buffing and polishing the hull. I don't think I want to do that again. Glad to hear you had success with the Poli Glow.

There were some posts about "wraps" a while back. They sound great. A bit expensive, however.
I haven't found anyone around here that does it yet. Anyway, Poli Glow sounds like my Plan A.
We'll see.
