Time for a good polishing does anyone have any suggestions for the best polish ?

I use 3m finesse, Collinite fleet wax and then prism polish for the stainless. Or a good detailer for $500 probably more for an R-31.

I use a detailer and he uses Collinite.

I use a Shurhold dual action oscillating buffer. I apply Aqua Blue 200 (use Aqua Blue 100 for heavier oxidation) using the buffer set at 2 for speed and a wet foam pad attached to the buffer. I apply about 4 dabs of polish to the pad and polish an area always making sure the polish stays wet. Then I wet sponge the polish residue off with a wet sponge and dry with a dry towel. If it looks good I go right to applying some Collinite Paste wax by hand using a terry cloth towel. Then after it hazes up I buff off with a terry cloth towel. Then using a lambs wool bonnet or a micro fiber bonnet I set the buffer to 4 on the speed dial finish bringing the area to a luster. Shurhold has a product called Buff Magic that I will try once my Aqua Blue 200 runs out. Here are a couple links. http://www.shurhold.com and http://www.jmcompounds.com
I would add that when I just wash our boat I do one side at a time and use regular Dawn dish washing soap. After rinsing and while the area is still wet I use a Turtle wax spray product called Wax and Dry. Spritz it on every foot or so and dry it off with a terry cloth towel. The trick is to make sure to keep the surface wet before applying the Wax and Dry. It really keeps water spotting to a minimum on dark colors. I have a black 2009 truck and the Wax and Dry has worked very well on keeping the truck looking better than most. http://www.turtlewax.com
