This post is a bit overdue. Thanks very much for having us as part of your community. I’ve been reading all your posts over the last 12 months and they convinced us that our next boat should be a Cutwater.

Happily we purchased a 2015 Cutwater 30S in June. Since then we have spent as many hours as possible in the Gulf Islands fishing and cruising and even managed a 10 day trip to Desolation Sound and the Discovery Islands in late July. We love our boat and are having the time of our lives!

I would like to give a shout out to the team at Port Boat House in Port Alberni and especially Dave, Garett and Candice who treated as so well during the purchase process and who have provided excellent after sales service. Even though the boat was second hand they worked with us to sort out a few minor issues and are always available to provide advice or answer questions. Definitely the best service that I have every received from a dealer!

I look forward to reading more great cruising stories and getting inspired to travel to other places over the coming years!

I just wanted to jump in and echo Simon's sentiments. We get lots of comments about dealers on this forum, some good and some not so good. Sometimes I think we forget to mention it when things go really well.

I have always said that, when buying a boat, one is really buying a dealer. Back in early 2008 I went shopping at the boat show and found a couple of C-Dorys displayed by PBH. I met with Mike and Dave and at the end of the day purchased a 23 Venture they had in stock. There were a couple of minor issues with the boat after I took delivery and those guys went above and beyond to fix them. After that they were a continual source of great information and support for the next eight years, long after the boat was out of warranty and long after they ceased to represent C-Dory. It was a no-brainer at the end of 2016 when I got an offer out of the blue from someone who wanted to by the C-Dory to get in touch with Dave to talk about a replacement. He handled the whole sale and purchase transaction for the new boat, a 2017 RT 25 SC. My experience with this boat has been just as good as with the first. Really great people to do business with.
