I'd really like to get a grill goin' on my r-21 EC.

I impulse bought the Magma Cabo grill (rectangular) during a West Marine "sale'" around the time I bought my boat. Since then I've been looking at ways to mount it.

I wanted the LeveLock Rod Holder Mount because it seemed the most durable and 'slip proof' but the angle of the rod holder leads right into the rails (so no room to mount grill).

The Single-Horizontal Mount seems to be the only other option (without drilling) but I've heard those can slip. A round ring mounted on a round rail seems problematic. And If I do remember a little high school, metal expands and contracts in hot and cold temps. The double round mount will not fit my Cabo (mounting plate too big) so I'd have to use the single round mount. I'm worried that may not be good enough to hold this grill securely with no issues. Anyone have the single round mount that can chime in?

So now I'm considering returning the rectangular grill and getting this circular one below. I'm thinking the mounting makes more sense and I could have a better range of where I can put it, like on a vertical rail towards the aft and have it a bit more off the side of the boat. It looks lighter weight also so maybe not as much slippage.

May I ask what barbaque options you all have used with success?

We have a single round mount on our Kuuma grill. I put electrical tape around the rail where I was going to mount the grill, and it has never slipped.
