New boat purchased Nov 2019, not in the water yet. But learning alot from the webinars.

Have seen the power management webinar and like the spreadsheet. Can you provide wattage data for the Krupps coffee maker and the TV? As well as any other electrical items I may have missed.

Also wondering at this time if it would be simple or complicated to add another solar panel?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

As per the Keurig support website (http://support.keurig.com/article?id=kA036000000CJgY):

Keurig® home brewers use the most power during their initial startup. When heating for the first time after being off, peak usage is 1,500 watts. If the power is kept on, the brewer will keep the internal tank up to temperature using between 200 – 400 watts when heating. While idle and not maintaining heat, the brewer will use the average electricity of a 60 watt light bulb.

The 19" Jensen TV (model JTV1917DVDC) draws 28 watts.

To add another solar panel, you would need to configure in a new solar panel controller that is compatible with a dual output.

Has RT changed the solar controller or the solar panel on the 2020 27OB from a 2018 27OB? I have a 2018 27OB and Andrew told me the solar controller on my boat could handle a second solar panel, of the same wattage, without making any changes. Just wire the new panel in parallel with the old panel. I haven't done it yet as so far it has not been needed.

Hello,

As said above you can install a second solar panel and wire to and from the controller without having to add or replace the original controller, if you want to email me I would be happy to send you the manual for the controller where it shows how to install, wire and program. My email is below in my signature.

Thank you,
Kevin Lamont
