Pre-season Windless Maintenance?

I'd just run it both directions without a line/chain in the gypsy. If it doesn't run smooth and quiet that's not good.
 
There is a video on U Tube on how to rebuild our windlasses. There is a one way bearing on the left side that seems to be light on grease and is prone to seize. As a preventive measure I pulled the left side of windlass off and regreased that bearing.
