Hi all,
After three years of owning a pristine R23, the boat gods are starting to get me irritated.
Had yard check on water heater, and all was supposedly ok. Boat in water, seacock in aft center cockpit is open (up position) but head makes only dry sucking noise with no water entering bowl when pumping. Perplexed.
What am i missing. Is there a way to prime the manual head pump?
Thank so much!

One more item. Garmin 7680xsv Gps cog and garmin auto pilot heading disagree by up to 150-180degrees. Have looked at manuals, but almost too complicated. How do i reconcile. Again, this never happened before. Boat on same mooring and cruising in same waters inNarragansett Day, RI.

Im 71 with some medical limitations and these things are getting to me. Is there anyone around who might be close to Bristol to take a quick trip aboard?

Again, thanks so much!

For the water heater there is an over temp protection switch (I accidentally turned on the heater when there is no water in it). The switch is under a cover on the water heater facing towards the back of the boat.

For the head, just double checking the black switch next to the pump handle on the head is in the water position. Also, double check the sea strainer by the seacock (up is open like you said). If the sea cock is closed the up and down toilet pump handle will have resistance do to vacuum. The last thing to check is the sea strainer lid is not cracked and has a good seal.

Great info in previous reply. You might try running the washdown pump if you already haven't. If it works fine, the water should be abut a 1/3 the way up the hose to the head (if plumbed the same as my 2018). Then pump pump pump and hopefully it will pick it up.

Thanks to both of you. I will try both suggestions. Never had these issues before. I do know the seacock was open and the pump position was in water bowl fill. I filled toilet from sink/shower head to see if wetting the pump diaphragm would help, but didn’t. I’ll try these things and report back! Thank you!!!!
