Cannot get the stove top burners to turn on. With the rocker switch on the oven and oven light will work, but the stove top burners will not turn on. Played with the on off dials and did get them to turn on one time. Tried under both shore power and the generator same result. Is there something else we're supposed to do?

With help found the manual. The following is from the manual:

Electric Stove with a lift cover has a safety switch located at the right rear side of the stove top. The top burners will not work until the lift cover is in up-right position to activate the switch. Make sure the lift cover is up-right evenly. It has to be down to its base in order to activate the switch.

It tracks the one time it worked we were fooling with both the burner knobs and the lift cover. Will verify when I get to the boat on Thursday.
