Private Messaging not working!

Has anyone else had this experience?? I am unable to save or submit any private messages, even though I have successfully sent messages in the recent past. This is the error message that appears:

General Error

SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Incorrect string value: '\xF0\x9F\x98\x84. ...' for column 'message_text' at row 1 [1366]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists

I have tried a number of different ways, including using my laptop, two different browsers and a third browser on iphone. Any ideas?
