Hello

Macerator:
I have a 2010 R25 and the macerator has never been operated and will not operate work for me now.
I flip the macerator switch on the "panel" at the helm, the light comes on for a split second and then goes off.
There is absolutely no noise coming from the macerator when I do the switch thing.
Suspect it is seized up or there is an electrical problem.

Cockpit Wash Down:
Connected up the hose in the cockpit and then tried to find the value to send up some sea water, however, I suspect there is a pump located somewhere.
I started the engine hoping this would do something and when I throw the switch which is located beside the water hose connection, no joy or water or sound of a pump working. Any suggestions?

Bob

On the wash down, did you check to see if the small valve on the side where the hose connects is open? If that valve is not open and there is no water flow and there is enough pressure, the pump won't go on.
The wash down gets its water from the sea strainer that is also used for the engine. So if you are not having cooling issues your water to the hose for raw water should be fine. On my boat, an R-27, the pump is attached right to the back wall in the engine compartment, right in front of the holding tank.
Let us know how you make out.

Merlot, the pump is seized. I have the same problem for the same reason as yours.
Being I have no intentions of pumping sewage overboard I'm ignoring it.

I think your raw water wash down also has an in line fuse near the switch - check that out. The engine does not need to be running as long as your power is on. Good luck!

My raw water pump ( only used 2 brief times) is dead as well.
All fuses are good. Light doesnt come on either
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Even though the fuse is good, try removing the fuse and clean the connection ends and the connections in the fuse holder and the cap that holds the fuse in. Remove the wires to the switch and clean those terminal ends on the switch and the wire contacts that slip on the switch. I suggest putting Corrosion Block on all electrical connections. I do this with every one I touch. I do my battery terminals at least once per year.

I had a similar problem with raw water pump just about a year ago. I cleaned the fuse (even though it appeared bright), cleaned the in line filter at the pump (even though i saw nothing in it), and drank a beer (at least it was cold). After that, the pump worked fine. I am not sure which of my three repair activities fixed it.
