I wanted to add line cutter to prop shaft but I think I know the answer is the r29 and 31 keel gap to prop does not allow enough space to add a line cutter as the shaft bearing needs sufficient gap space to allow full water flow out of the trailing edge of the bearing.
I was hoping to find a cutter design that would allow a cutter to be added but I probably is not recommended it would restrict water flow.
I did not realize how much water comes out of the cutlass bushing until I was winterizing the boat while on trailer and noticed pink flowing out of the keel at the cutlass bearing.
Has anyone added a cutter?
